WE STILL WORKING!
Good afternoon YBARP family,
As we monitor the updates on COVID-19, we hope that everyone is staying healthy and using precautions when moving around to avoid contracting this virus.
After meeting with the South Suburban Youth Baseball League (SSYBL) this week it has been determined that we WILL have a baseball season this year. During this unprecedented time, we’ve been asked to stay ready! As it stands now, we can’t predict an exact opening day but we anticipate playing baseball in late May. The next SSYBL board meeting is April 15th and we hope to have more information.
As for YBARP, we will continue to observe the regulations put forth by the State and the CDC. The safety and wellbeing of our parents and children are our #1 priority. Once the “Stay at home ban” is lifted and the CDC allows gatherings, OUR KIDS WILL HIT THE FIELDS! YBARP will be ready and we ask our parents to be ready also. Individual uniform fittings will possibly be done this month (date TBD).
Lastly, we understand some parents haven’t paid due to uncertainty and some due to job loss. The Board wants to help and will continue to work on the behalf of our parents and kids. YBARP will be waving all late fees for the season and putting together a new payment plan for those negatively effected by COVID-19. The first payment on the plan will help cover the purchase of uniforms that will be ordered when our vendors re-open. The balance of the registration will be stretched with a partial payments due every two weeks. If you were in our original payment plan and defaulted, just shoot us an email so we can help.
